Our Youth Programs Sunday School: 10-10:50 a.m. each Sunday 6-7th Grade - Room 202 8-9th Grade - Room 12 10-12th Grade - Room 16 Confirmation: 2 year program - complete at your own pace 6-12th Graders Requirements include ~ Worship attendance, service hours for the church and the community. Attendance at 1 Confirmation retreat Attendance at 8 seminars - 4 offered each year. Held 3-6 p.m. w/supper on Sunday afternoon. Attendance at 1 Church Council Meeting 1 Standing church committee Material covered will include Old Testament, New Testament, Sacraments, Lutheranism, Luther's Small Catechism. The youth will use the New Student Study Bible/nrsv edition along with the Lutheran Handbook and new confirmation materials from Augsburg/Fortress Publishing. Vacation Bible School: We have a class for the Youth 7-12th Grade. Each day the group travels somewhere in the community to do service; Margaret Moul Home, Barley Home, Noah's Place, Rescue Mission, local park, Lehman Center etc. The youth play games, serve food, or clean up the grounds. Those who have served are able to count the hours for school requirements. Those who have participated have enjoyed their experience. Some have returned to nursing homes to visit residents they have met. Other youth have volunteered to be "helpers" in the classrooms with the smaller children as well as help with child care. 2006's VBS will be held on: July 17-21 9-11:45 a.m. each day
